Kally found that she was hungry. Not just any hungry, the kind that even when you eat your stomach hurts. She looked around her… no one seemed to be around… good. It was getting pretty late, and the last thing she wanted was to be noticed. “Just a little snack,” she had told herself. “I’ll be in and out.” Kally began walking down the corridor, when she suddenly stopped. The thought of food made her sick! She turned around, to walk away but found that she really was hungry, no matter how sick the thought of food made her. Kally tugged on her brown-red hair, that was currently down. “I can always wait until tomorrow morning,” she said out loud. “There’s no problem with that,” she tried to convince herself. But no matter how much she tried she continued her way toward the kitchen.
Once she had gotten into the kitchen a house elf walked up to her and asked her what she wanted. “Something small-” she told it, but it was already walking away to get something. “I don’t want too much!” she said. But she knew she never got exactly what she wanted. She swore these house elves were trying to make her fat. And she was right, when the house elf came back it handed her a plate stacked with food. “If you could-” but once more the house elf was walking away. “Great,” she mumbled under her breath. “Just great.”
Once she had ate more than she ever thought she could, she began to leave. “Next time,” she said. “I’ll wait until breakfast… I don’t even think I’ll make it to the common room,” she complained, but the house elf that had served her just smiled and walked her toward the door. “You know,” Kally began to say to the house elf, “next time I want someone else to serve me.” The house elf nodded, before Kally could open the door, some one else had already started opening the door from the other end.

Emme sat in the Gryffindor common room alone. It was at least an hour past curfew and she had just finished studying for her Potions test. Potions was defiantly not a strong subject of Emmeline's. She struggled to earn average scores on her test. She wasn't even interested in the class! The whole time she just sat at her desk doodling on a piece of parchment. The sound of her textbook closing broke the silence that was in the room. Letting a sigh escape from her lips moments after, she cleaned up the mess of she had made near the fire place. Books, textbooks, homework, notes, ink bottles, and feathers were everywhere!
Once Emme had finished she looked around the common room to see if anybody was around. She smirked when no one was in sight. All this thinking made Emme hungry. Being a Gryffindor she sneaked over to the common room door and opened it slowly and to her surprise, it didn't make a sound. I'm getting too good at this. She thought to herself and proceeded out the door and closed it behind her. Emme walked quietly down the stairs praying that they wouldn't move while she was on them. She got off when she was at the floor where the kitchen was located.
Emme was wearing a white tank top, maroon and white plaided pants, and maroon slippers on her feet with white socks. Her hair was up into a messy bun and it moved with every step she took. She continued to sneak down the hallway silent as a mouse and scared to death that a professor would catch her in the act of going to the kitchen. One step, BEEP BEEP BEEP! Emme jumped back her heart racing.Oh, must've just been my imagination.she said to herself then took another steep, BOOM! But this time she stayed where she was and continued forward with another step, DING DING DING! She bit her lower lip and squeezed her eyes shut as she basically ran on her tip toes all the way to the door of the kitchen.
Emme slowly opened her eyes and scanned the hallway to see if anyone was there or coming. Standing in front of the door for a few seconds she kept her gaze on the darkness behind her as she turned the doorknob. She quickly turned to face the door when she couldn't open the door. What the hell! She started to twist and turn the doorknob, and when that didn't work she attempted to pull it. Were the houselves trying to keep her out or something? Emme tightened for grip on the doorknob and pushed on it and she finally got the door open. She sighed in relief and walked in while moving the hand that she was using to open the door with. It was hurt a bit but she turned around the face the door once more when she was in the room, and that's when she saw a houself and a Ravenclaw girl. She felt like laughing but held it in with a smile. How embarrsing...

Kally was surprised. Glad I’m not the only one out and about at this hour, Kally thought, then again, she really hadn‘t expected to see anyone. She watched the girl, face blank and all. She hadn’t thought that she would see anyone one. Kally was usually pretty good at guessing when people would be heading to the kitchens. She really didn’t need people to know she needed snacks, that was none of anyone business anyway. So she rarely saw anyone, and when she did, she usually ignored them, it was a Kally thing to do after all. “Hello,” Kally found herself saying rather coldly, though she had not intended to. Though she couldn’t help it, it was late, she was full and tired, she wasn’t sure she would make it far, the way she was.
Her dark gray eyes bore into the girl before she turned back to the house elf. “Thanks,” she told it. “But remember less food is better. I don’t need to gain weight,” she said. Not that she ever cared about her weight, she didn’t usually gain weight, even when she tried. But she didn’t like to stuff her face either, like she had done just minutes before. Kally liked to think she ate pretty healthy, which was a lie, she ate like a bird.
Kally moved to the side, her arms crossed, waiting for the girl to go in and move away from the door. She sighed lightly, rubbing her eyes. Stupid elves, I really need to learn to wait, I ate too much, now not only am I fat, I won’t be able to make it to my bed tonight. She wondered about that, would she really not be able to make it to her bed? Kally had never gotten in trouble, even when she was doing things she probably shouldn’t. She usually got her way, but what happens if this time she was caught? If she fainted in some random corridor, because she was too stuff to get anywhere? She shook her head lightly. “No,” she said softly. I’ll get my way out of it, it can’t be that hard, she thought to herself.
Once more she eyed the girl. I really should have waited for breakfast, she thought to herself once more. I really don’t need this. The girl had yet to say anything, but Kally was still not very happy about seeing anyone there. My timing was pretty bad, she thought. I knew I should have came earlier. But no Kally, that’s not what I did, huh? She asked herself.

Emmeline stopped looking at the doorway and closed the door. The Ravenclaw girl just said hi and looked at her waiting for her to respond, but Emme was off in her own little world thinking of what to think and didn't really take interest in the girl at all. It was kind of awkward since she didn't expect to see anyone in here. Especially at this hour. Come to think of it, since when did Ravenclaw's sneak around Hogwarts past curfew? She looked at the houself who was looking at her but didn't say anything. He must be waiting for me to ask for something. . . she thought then said,
" Erm...I'll have a pumpkin pasty please. "
The houself just nodded and headed to go get her request. She walked over to a chair and sat down, bringing her legs to her chest to keep warm. It was a bit chilly in the kitchen. She didn't know how the houselves could stand it. She looked over at the girl who was still standing in the same spot. The problem with Emme was that she didn't like staying in one spot for a long time. She didn't know why, she just felt too still. She sighed and decided that answering to the girl's hello would make things less awkward.
" Hi. . .I'm Emmeline Vance, and you are?"
Emme said to her attempting to start a conversation. She wondered what the girl was thinking about. Probably about homework or a test coming up. Speaking of homework, didn't she have Transfiguration homework? Oh, that's right, I already did it.Wow, this is pretty boring. . . Emme wished someone else would come into the room. She knew she was going to have nothing in common with this girl except that they both actually studied for tests. She tapped her slippers on the edge of her chair and that's when the houself came back with her food. A smile appeared on Emme's face as she took her pasty.
" Thank you! "
She muttered then took a bit out of her pasty as she waited for the girl to reply.

Kally was zoning out once more. What was it about being stuffed, that made a person so sleepy? It was like being drunk… not that Kally knew how that felt. She was a good girl, she never did anything that make her look like a fool…. Well maybe she did things often, but no one ever saw her do it, so it was ok… right? This isn’t healthy, she told herself. Eating at this hour like this. Though she knew better, she also knew nothing could stop her. For when she was hungry there was no such thing as waiting until morning. Her stomach demanded food. It was because she didn’t eat enough during the day, she knew. Maybe if she ate more for lunch and dinner… no, that wouldn’t work. Just as her stomach demanded food at this hour, it refused more food than it needed during the day.
Once more she sighed. And looked at the girl… Emmeline Vance… had she not said her name was? Kally thought watching the girl. Gryffindor, Kally had concluded, oh great! No not really, she thought. “I’m Kally Moore,” she said in a tone that said, yeah I really don’t want to talk to you. Do you mind? Of course Kally and her haughty manner doubted the girl would even notice.
I’m being a tad bit rude, Kally told herself. But being cold was a feeling she knew, being cold was much more welcomed than being tired. That was just how things worked. It was getting late, and Kally knew she should have been in bed by then. Not only will I get in trouble for being out so late, she thought, but for falling asleep in class tomorrow morning as well. Kally liked to have a good amount of sleep, each night.
She never worried about homework because she always got that done after and between classes. She never spent much time on homework, she preferred to let her mind wander in a good book. Not that she was able to get her hands on a good book lately. I really needed to get dad to send me some of my books… Kally thought as she finally came to her senses once more.
I'm being rude, Kally told herself once more. "You're in Gryffindor aren't you?" She asked her tone between an I-really-don't-care, and I'm-trying-my-best-to-be-nice tones.

Emmeline took another bite from her pasty as the girl looked at her and the room itself she just waited for her to respond and when she did she got a cold vibe from the girl. This kind of offended Emme since she had never seen the girl in her life and she had just met her. And the only house she immediately hated was Slytherin. Why was this girl acting that way.She didn't understand why the girl was talking to her if she didn't care! Plus it didn't help that she didn't even introduce herself.
Emme tried to ignore the fact that the girl was doing this but the thought was still there. " Well Ravenclaw's are known to be snotty. It was clear now why this girl would be placed there. She wasn't nice so Hufflepuff was just out of the question. Maybe Slytherin was more of the girls place... Emme sighed as she took another bite, she didn't respond to the girl until she finished her pasty.
" Yes I am. And your in Ravenclaw, correct? "
Emme said to the girl. She kept the same tone in her voice as before, she didn't want to make the girl think that she was rude, mean, or judge mental in anyway. Though at times, that was Emme for you.
[[OOC: Sorry for the bad post, I'm kind of tired]]

Kally could feel herself tapping her foot as she listened to the girl. Though Emme had only said a couple of sentences Kally still could barely make out what she had said. And that was Kally for the world, she never paid much attention to anyone, not if she could help it. She guessed it had to do with her not really caring what others had to say, especially if it wasn’t important. Even if it was a answer to Kally’s question. Kally looked away for a moment, could someone actually feel their food being digested? She wondered. She could feel herself become less full.
Kally nodded her head to the question. “You would be correct,” she said as she turned her head to look at Emme. “I am,” she said. Kally stifled a yawn, as she lightly clapped her hand over her mouth. Yawning was such a strange things, it was just one of those things she didn’t like to do in front of people, no one needed to know she was tired. Not that she usually was. She was usually up and ready for the day, too bad she wasn’t one of those people who were happy all the time. She could definitely be one of those people if she wanted, but she wasn’t. Or maybe she was, just no when she was around people she didn’t like. Kally could name a list filled with people she didn’t like. Not that she didn’t try to like them… ok that was a lie. Kally never tried to like anyone, if she didn’t already.
“It’s nice to know, I’m not the only one, who was hungry tonight,” she said, though it would have been nicer if Kally hadn’t seen anyone about. What’s wrong, she thought. Don’t these people know how much trouble they could get in for being out so late? Kally on the other hand, didn’t know. She was sure had always been sure she could get away with it. Kally was creative, she could come up with a believable lie. Then she would clasp her hands behind her back and say, I’m not going to get into too much trouble am I? It was a question she always asked, when she was caught doing something she shouldn’t, not that she ever got caught doing something big. And she would give the adult an innocent look, that always got her what she wanted. And then she would be sent on her merry way with a warning never to do what she had done again….They really don't expect me to do it again, Kally thought and she smiled lightly at the thought.
